8News is a pure RSS feeds news aggregator.

8News news feeds are presented as is and are added/deleted by the user. There are no Ads and no manipulation of the news source content in any way whatsoever (no additions/changes/deletions or intermediate content).

There are no preset RSS news feeds, except 1: my website blog, so the user must add their own, a suggested approach is:

1. Search for your favourite websites RSS feeds.
2. In 8News About > Setup > News Feeds, tap the + icon to add a new News Feed. Type your news source Name and copy/paste the News Feed RSS URL. Repeat for all feeds.
3. Once all your feeds are setup, close the app and re-open. This is important to reset the internal database with all the new RSS additions (or deletions). This is a design requirement to ensure 8News launches as fast as possible.

8News needs a default news source (for the initial view) and it is the top most news feed in the list. You can add unlimited news sources and delete any, as long as you leave at least 1 news source (the last remaining can not be deleted).

The main interfaces is a sliding menu (from left to right), which shows all news sources names, in alpha order. Tap/touch any news source to view latest news item summaries, , some with photos. Tap/touch any news item to review the details in the news source website. Tap X to return to 8News.

Just news, no ads, no hard sell, no soft sell, just news from your favourite sources around the world.
